Before Installing Win Server 2008
1. Ensure that your PC have enough hard disc space, Min 1 GB RAM and a DVD ROM.
Step-1
1. Insert the DVD of win 2008 to the DVD ROM and restart your PC.
2. It will prompt to boot from DVD/CD (If not please select the boot device).
3. Press ant key to boot from DVD /CD appears press any key.
4. Wait for some time a silver coloured screen appears (drin thi period the system is being assesed for compatibility.
Step-2
1. Change currency to English (India) (it depends upon your country).
2. Install.
3. Select the option as per your requirement (In this tuter i am selectin Win server 2008 Std Full and click next.
4. Accept the terms and conditions and click next.
5. Installation will be in process and the system restarts and continues the automatic installation.
6. The initial installation complet an restar the system.
Step-3
1. Add IP Address of your network
2. Add computer name (as per your requirement).
3. Restart the PC.
Step-4
1. Start server manager.
2. Select Role.
3. Click Add Role.
4. Then click next.
5. Selet DNS.
6. Install DNS server anyway.
7. The DN will be automatically installed.
Step-5
1. Start server Manager.
2. Select Role.
3. Select Web Serve (IIS).
4. Add required functions.
5. Cleck Next-Next.
6. Select application development.
7. Add required functions.
8. Next.
9. Install.
10. The automatic default web server installation wil be shown as suceeded
11. Click close.
Step-6 (DNS Configuration)
1. Start - programme-administrative tools - select DNS.
2. The DNS confiuration window opens.
3. Expand forward lookup zones.
4. Right click in the window and select new zone.
5. Click next.
6. Select primary zone and click next.
7. Appli IP Address in zone name and click Next.
8. Check allow both non secure dynamic.
9. Click Next.
10. Finish.
11. Expand fwd lookup
12. Select added DNS (i.e the new IP ddres added).
13. Right cick and select properties.
14. Select name servers add IP address of your server here and click resolve.
15. Click OK and Apply and then click OK.
